Not that you care, but there has been some major progress in the oo3d Engine. The final release may be within a month if 3D Studio MAX import doesnt take to long. If you're intrested in joining dot!net Studios or just helping out with the oo3d project we need a few people to help out with writing a manual, writing a file parser and maybe one or two 3D coders. Ohh yeah, a PROJECT LEADER is needed badly since I myself have very little time.

The project Ultrabasic by Gabriel of Gabsoft has been cancled. I think it was by far the most promising looking compiler project. With Gabasic he already showed a Quickbasic-like compiler that puts graphics 7 to 13 times faster on the screen that QB with the great Future.Lib 3.5. With Ultrabasic he tried to make one that translates Quickbasic code into Win32 asm, compiles this with MASM (Microsoft Assembler) and uses DirectX as standard lib for graphics and all the other stuff! Too bad it has been canceled...

The Statto Software Site of the Year Award has been prematurely announced, with qbasicnews.com defeating www.qbasic.com and QBasic Paradise. This is not yet reflected on the web page, as Statto Software are currently having difficulty with Geocities. Congratulations to qbasicnews.com.

For all the regulars on EFnet's #quickbasic channel, it has gone op-less after a conflict between the channel operaters some time last night. Chuck, the main operater will not give out any information on this issue. What I think happened from the pieces of information I could get from different sources was that Nec deoped everyone after an argument but then his server split and took him offline losing all ops in the channel. Lets just hope that ops come back in the channel soon.

I have redesigned the site again as you can see. I think it looks more professional and is way better then the old one in every way. There are errors in some of the cgi scripts because of the change-over. They will all be fixed sometime tommarow. Please email me and tell me what you think.
