I just started qb because i was in vb. I just came over from vb city. A friend told me about qb and i liked it. Anyone who is thinking about going to vb, dont do it. :bounce:
does any one want to hear my testimonials? :-?
Hey, VB's cool. and did you know that qb is a _16-bit only_ compiler? And it's not supported by M$ anymore? And that it's outdated? And that I'm probably going to get shot for saying that on a QB forum? :-?

VB is good, but more for business applications, which it was designed for, what with all the event scripting and visual design and all. If you're interested in game development, i'd switch over to either c or a more powerful basic compiler, like purebasic or powerbasic. QBasic is a DOS compiler, and a slow one at that. But it's fun to program, and I hope to see some good stuff from you. Welcome to the forum Smile
thanks for your support.

Uh... uh.... uh.... (whispers) I agree with toonski ... (/whisper) can you stop aiming weapons at me now? *runs away hoping that QBers are satisfied with poorly disguised attempt at trying to go with the flow*

Actually, I don't really like VB either. I use C++ more than anything else. But I grew up on VB, so I'm kinda emotional about it. Wink
I don't really work on anything big using Visual Basic... I use it time to time, but mainly to make little joke programs for my friends and whatnot.
