even a PC user gota love those...
I really don't believe it. Only programs made in 32 ot 64 bit could possibly be faster. It doesn't make sense.

Besides:
1) One click mouse. Eep.
2) UP to 8 gigs of mem, they say, when almost every manufacturer is selling 512 megs, or even 256, which just isn't enough for anything. And how many gigs of mem do they have in this? 1gig tops, probably 512.

And besides, I want buggy Windows. Smile
*nods* Looks like they won the race.
That cpu of that the macs use is something to drool about. It's the perfect cpu. It's everything intel x86 isn't. Too bad mac chosed the way they did. Other wise we might all have been sitting in front of a box with a powerpc.
*sigh* I love little-endian... or does x86 use little-endian... oh well... It's cooler. 8)
Yeah, the x86 uses little-endian.
The G5 is still not my dream computer...mine is:
Pentium 4, 3.06 GHZ
1 GIG 366 MHZ SDRAM
HD, whatever, 7200 RPM, 120 GB.
GForce 128 MB graphics
21" LCD screen
Full-erganomic soft-touch extended KB with wristpad
3-button optical wireless mouse, with scroll
What software...hmm...MS WIN/XP Prof. and Office XP prof.
52x-speed CD drive, and another CD drive, a burned this time, same speed.
A DVD player...frivolous, yes, but whatever.
And of course some more *superb* peripherals.
Could somebody explain "little endian" to me? The only definitions I know for it is the order of bytes in an integer and the side of the egg you break with in gullivers travels, and none of those make sense for a cpu.
One little, two little, 3 little endians?

Lil Endian=x86=low byte first

Say the AX register is composed of AL and AH

AL=LOW
AH=High

AL is more significant cause of the fact that if you don't have any value in AH, AX would return AL.

AX won't return the right value if you would use AH to put your value in.

Assuming that the values we are talking about would fit in AL or AH.

Big Endian like the 6502 CPU the NES uses the HI byte is the more significant register. ;*)

And boy!!! That mac can emulate Winblows full speed!!!!
