Hey, I am a Latin student who programs in QB but I don't exactly have the time to make a Latin Translator... I HATE having to flip those pages to get what word I am missing. Right?

So this is why I created this challenge:

Your mission, should you decide to accept it *drumroll*
is to program a database that has 3 modes: Latin to English, English to Latin, and Edit Database. The constriants are:

1. Any size/lines are accepted.
2. Have fun Smile
3. Must implent a feature that allows me to add on to the
database (this way, you do not have to put in the words and
the like, I just want a skelton database for me to add more
meat Smile )
4. Must have room for 9999 entries if that's possible (As much
entires as possible)
5. (Optional) Implent a GUI with mouse support (If you do this
a reward might be offered).

If this is too hard to pull off then you are welcome to strip off features BUT THE EDIT DATABASE MUST STAY!

I repeat: You do not have to put in the words and so, I do that, just the skelteon of the database.

Thank you, oh and the prize is being considered (Maybe software that I have lying around).
Look, people try and have things done for them in challenges, and sometimes its cool and easy. But seriously, you're asking people to write you a program that translates from one language to the other, and asking for htings like a mouse gui and an appendable, searchable database. If you're going to turn it in for extra credit, then this is laughable. If you just want to use it for your homework, then download one that's already made.
not to mention, there has already been a huge discussion on how translators simply don't work...
I don't know about Latin though, It's a dead lang so I think it's possible to translate it word for word. ;*)

I really dunno. Anyone know the exact grammar it latin?

Is the answer 42...?
Latin has idioms, but that can be omitted or programmed in.

After you parse all the rules you can get the exact meaning of every Latin word in English, and every English word in Latin.

But first you need to parse all the rules...
A latin translator.... :rotfl: Good joke!
