I think they had some error in their software (or Ameritrade not telling all the selling rules) that didn't allow me to sell my stock at certain conditions. I talked to them a bit about it, but by the time they manually sold it the stock went .7 cents below buying price. (I had >1000 shares!).

So after some time the broker dood asked me whether I wanted 8 free trades or the technicians to resolve the issue, and I said the latter.

So today I login to find that they corrected the sale to the first "invalid" sale found, which was .10 cents above buying price, and I now had an extra $115.1 in my account pocket. Smile

So, um, choose Ameritrade!
Nice. My family's was with Morgan Stanley... Our broker, David Champagne, little to our knowledge, was making deals with failing companies to invest his client's money in them, bringing up the stock price. The companies failed anyway (that's what happens with lack of business), and we lost all the money, over $15,000. We presented contracts we, and he had signed saying he couldnt sell stock without our explicit written permission, but Morgan Stanley rejected the case. We eventually got a new broker who's alright, but not great, and we kept making the case against Mr. Champagne, but lo and behold they say we dont have enough prove, besides written evidence on our side and a lack of evidence for their case. We'd sue, but a lawyer costs almost twice as much money as we lost, the case is hopeless.
