Well I have a major problem here:
I was about to swap some HDs beween two computers but, well halfway I realized I didn't need to so when assembling back:
It can't find the floppy drive
Winndow$ won't load (It freezes after displaying the disk info)
Do anyone know a good checklist for assembling back a computer
You mean by it doesnt find the floppy drive the drive is not checked when loading up? that shouldnt be the problem, the comp will boot up anyways (i know becuase i broke my floppy drive and i need to buy a new one, but for 20$? screw it.)check to make sure the other components are in right, i mixed up ram before (becuase the assholes who made my computer lied about the ram type) and the computer wouldnt load. Just make sure all components are in properly and see if it loads.

And it could be the hard drive, ive had a computer die before becuase the hd died. but i dont think it even got to the point of showing disk info Smile
Your floppy cable is probably flipped. Try unplugging it from the drive, turn it over, and plug it back in.
I've already tested it, AND with another FD too...

Cry Waah I want my computer back! Does anyone have a rpg
with a character who knows "resurrect" or something?
Disconnect your floppy and disable it in the BIOS setup for now. See if you can boot. If you can, we'll work on fixing the floppy...

Yes:
1) Open palms of both hands.
2) Clasp open palms together.
3) Get on your knees.
4) Repeat after me: "Our Father, Who Art in Heaven....."
lol

Well, I plugged the boot HD to another computer and it worked,
so now I know My old comp freezes after showing the disc info
and before detecting PCI/ISA stuff.
To get access to the IDE connections at the motherboard I must
remove the network card, and I didn't use a anti ESD-strap...
Do you think an ESD discharge can cause this?
-It won't work with the network card removed...

"Our Father, Who Art in Heaven....."
I am a christian but I accept all religions, so don't pick on me

EDIT: I got it working now, I changed the boot HD settings
from "NORMAL" to "LBA" -What's the difference?
You see --- the power of prayer.
this is where i go for my computer help http://www.hostclub.net/forums/index.php?s=
what do you mean you accept all religions? :???:
