Hi to all, after the terrible heatwave in Europe this summer!

I worked hard on speed and optimisation during vacation: it was REALLY necessary for the TC-Lib...

and I started re-writing TC-Ray : now it has shadows and reflection features, and I gave up the static plan projection for a true 3D approach.

I just need to re-integrate the Perlin and Fractal functions of version 1 to get a serious Hi-Res raytracer, in pure QB.

Here's one pic amongst others:

More to come !
Welcome back, Jark!

An awesome image, as always!...
A true raytracer with all your primitives and perlin noise. Can't wait for the source...

Btw: I took the time to optimize your Mandelbrot viewer, are you interested in the source?
Send me this source : I think I will learn a lot!

I did my best to chase all the loss of times I could identify...

I worked on the Buddhabrot, and on the Nephroid Cup prog I made in February : it was really funny to read these sources after a couple of months...

I'm close to 15 seconds for the Nephroid pic... and I now have acceptable Buddhabrot programs (one based on bitmaps, and another one that uses 256 colours SVGA modes). I will soon post them on the Dazibao...

I managed to increase speed by 36% for the HSVtoRGB routine : I will probably post this as a poll here, this conversion being critical for true-colour rendering.

How was the heatwave in Spain ? It was horrible here, several weeks between 35° and 40°, nights included, no airconditionning : you can imagine !
I send you the code by mail...
The weather in Spain has been very warm, 38º and 80% humidity in Barcelona some days. Almost everything is air-conditioned here, but most of the systems have not enough power for these temperatures, so more than 30º in air conditioned areas was not rare...
Very nice.
*Jaw drops......

WOW!!!! :o
