ok. it finished downloading and i unzipped it into c:/program files/vb5
when i run 'c:/program files/vb5/vb/vb5.exe' i get
'Unexpected error; quitting'

Delete c:\program files\vb5. Extract it again, this time to c:\temp. Make sure you extract it with the folders intact.
Then run c:\temp\install.bat
The CD key is 807-1530525. (It's also in the readme...)
After it's installed, you can delete c:\temp and all the files in it.

Very true. I learned everything I know in VB today from messing around...and this book thing i have :wink: But if you want some good tutorials, or some help with what your doing, I think there used to be a forum called VBCity or something, I'd google search it for ya but I'm just "that" lazy
