This guy has the best QBasic chess program I have seen, 2500 lines of code and the source is included

Seems impressive. Can you post this link on the Progboards in France, Antoni ? I remember Touf had a chess project last year, but I think he gave up...
Yeah... I remember this one. It actually beat me on occasion, too. Props to its author Smile
Toonski: Do you know any other QB chess players? I only know the one in Toshi's page.
This one looks real good. Thanks for sharing this link, antoni.

There's a couple more in the ABC packets:

I found one a few years ago that looked great with 3d rendered pieces. Saved it to CD. Gonna look for it.

I like chess. I play it with Wes.
anyone know Battle Chess? that's the hell of a game!!! ^^
well, antoni, if you can hurry up and make one, we're about halfway through a chess contest at vplanet. Vance is looking for a few more entries. You just make a chess ai, that can play with a human. then we're going to pit them all against each other by having vance copy down moves from one to the other. The winner of the chess tournament wins.

Interested?

PS yay battle chess!
Long live battle chess, Big Grin
