Most Dearest Wildcard and the *entire* QB45/QB71 community,

At the time of the most recent update on the AAP Official Homepage (February 14, 2003), I’ve _already_ uploaded the new and recently-released “Frantic Journey” title screen build (praise God that He has enabled, encouraged, and empowered me to as well! Big Grin ). It took place at the time that the computer in my room has suffered a **massive** slowdown during the operation of Windows 98, normal mode (not safe mode). At one time or another, it took me a whopping 45+ minutes to even start up the Windows 98 main interface screen (NO kidding about that, too! Sad )! The reason for that slowdown problem was (at least _apparently_) because of one of the internal pieces of hardware that required the proper drivers for Windows in order for it to work right. And due to that continued problem, unless it is taken care of (most likely so far upon the removal of one of the internal hardware that has caused the problem in the first place), then the only real shot of using a computer is other than the one in my room, provided that I ask my grandmother first and that she says it’s alright for me to use it. The only catches on that are 1) I cannot download anything on that computer; and 2) I am never to even transfer ANY of my files into that computer at all. Thus, I am pretty much on hold for now, **BUT**, I no doubt plain believe __ON-PURPOSE__ that the computer in my room **WILL** be fixed to where Windows 98 shall run properly, even in normal mode as well, with the slowdown problem taken care of!! Big Grin Big Grin And man, let me tell you something, as soon as all of that is successfully fixed and working the way it should be, then LET’S JUST PLAIN ROCK!!! ;*D ;D

I will ___DEFINITELY___ return to full operation again soon, and as soon as I do, I will also continue to prepare *LOTS* more fiery hot new music for “Frantic Journey”!! Wink Wink Wink

Bye for now, and GOD BLESS YOU ALL RATHER RICHLY!!! Big Grin

KEEPING THE HOPE BRIGHTLY ALIVE AND THEN PLENTY,

P.S. At the time that I was allowed to use the other computer (other than the one in my room), at least I have just written to you this very message, which I am sharing with you all here! Wink Wink
Hey, I played you guy's game and it looks like it's turning out EXTREMELY well! There were like 230 sprites on the screen at the same time, and there wasn't one bit of slowdown.(I downloaded the beta from your site by the way) While I tried to play though, there was no music or sound. I don't know if you had included that at the time or not, but just letting you know.

Hope you game turns out well, (which it already is by the way).
I'm really interested in the method you'll use in these so-called "anime-like cinema sequences", mainly about how you'll synchronize the SFX/music with the FMV itself. Just remember that using the FLIC format for making FMVs is a really bad idea size-wise.

Oh, and thanks. The idea of a separate file for the title screen demo is really appreciated; downloading things from xepher at the killer speed of 500 bps is a nightmare... Sad
To Megaman,

Yes, I did include sound and music, but not while you are playing the game as of yet (you’re right though about that Smile ). The only real shot of listening to the music and sounds that I have so far is in the “Frantic Journey” Test Mode. And to get there, Megaman, here is what you do: if you have already downloaded and unzipped the recent FJ In-Progress Build, go to the file “Testmode.bat” and press Enter/Return. There, you will surely access the Test Mode where you can check out all of the gismos that’ll soon be implemented for the game itself including the Extend bonuses, the number of ships the player starts off with per credit, lots of my real hot and original music and sound effects, and a lot more!! Plus, I am currently planning (when I _DO_ return to full operation indeed, definitely!) to make access to the FJ Test Mode a **whole lot** easier for the player/viewer, without all the hassle. Big Grin Big Grin

And by the way, I thank you so much, Megaman, for your __splendid__ comments so far about the game “Frantic Journey”!! ;D Wink See ‘ya later!

WITH SUCH SHEER HONESTY AND RESPECT,
