Quote:Tanks - Initialy I didn't thought this could be something interesting.
I found the concept unplayable. Game was also basicly a working code, so to make a real game out of it a menu had to be added. Since the game exited every time a round ended all variables were just dumped so with a menu I had to reinitialize variables carefully before every round. I also had quite few prolems getting the menu working. Simply said, sloppy code. Not so begginerish as sloppy. Anyway, with a menu it's a nice little game. While working on the code I realized that the concept is quite fun to play and potential. It could work very well with progressive levels.

aha i might clean it up a bit and put it in my main project as a mini-arcade game Big Grin thanks for good comments (and critiques)

fundee worked on my 150mhz laptop, quickly too.

No.

Lachie:

Thanks! Big Grin
How many levels are there? Suffice to say, enough. And yeah, I drew the ship sprite - glad you like it.

Never gotten to level five, myself. :-?
Hey umm...anyone want the sourcecode for Fundee? It's a mangled mess (coz of time constraints), but it does illustrate state machines (in a crude way but screwit, it works Big Grin) and XMS data transfer, which not a lot of people use. So, any takers?
Can I upload the entries onto my site?
Mine's really just a 'demo' if you wanna upload it as that or as a competition entry. Don't bother me.
to pr0gger:
I don't see why not. Entries are public domain. At least, I belive so.

Nek, is it made in RelLib? No? Still, send it to me. I'm interested in this state machines thingie.

RST, HOW MANY LEVELS THERE IS?

Tongue

Don't take this on the wrong way, but I don't like when people make games which they can't finish themself. I don't like impossible games.

Ryan, it doesn't work in 640*480 mode. I don't think it even get's till the system.ini file before displaying "VESA not supported" message. I hate FutureLib.
Noooo!
I just had a great (ok ok, imho at least) idea for a one-key game Sad
Too late I guess...
it was really a tie between fundee and boat for me..

i'll say tanks should get a mention too...it was a
challenge to play.

Nope, the library is actually a blend of routines from DashX (all graphics) and Future Library (XMS routines). I'll send you the library files with the sourcecode though Smile
Do the XMS routines you use by any chance compile in QB71? If so, I'd be interested in them, too. Big Grin
