I agree. We also have a history of posting challenges from other sites here. I didn't think it was inappropriate.

The only thing was not about posting/talking about the compo, but rather including the compo info or a link to it. But Jocke took care of that very well.

But back to the topic, how far has everyone got to with their entries?
Mine's about 5% completed I think...haven't done any work on it in the last few days coz of the new QBOA, but now that it's released I can get back to work on it. Smile Got the random dungeon generator almost completed and a lot of the event system coded. Hopefully it will turn out OK (notices Jocke eyeing the screen impatiently) Smile
hehe...yeah, I'm in the middle of a move but I'm really turned-on by this compo so it seems that I can't stay away from the computer to check out how it's going  Qbasic + roguelikes = fantasic 8)
any progress yet? i'm trying to make some thing like it, but i'm really not getting far. much to learn.
This kind of game is certainly no small feat to pull off, but you get to skip a lot of the crap you find in other games (such as fumbling around with graphics routines).
I started mine, but then realized that the way I was doing it wasn't working, so I got rid of everything but the shell, and started again. Now its going better, but Im not very far.
