Can we have a chatbox at qbnews? I think phpBBhacks.com has something like that. When several members are on at the sametime we could chat instead of just posting =)

The problem is, though, that if it was something interesting, not all people would get it :wink: .

When more than 1 user is online, they may like to chat with the other users, not everyone is on MSN or ICQ(i.e. a uniform IM). It would be something like a IRC but since 5-6 people are on at the sametime(avg.) a small chatbox would be sufficient.

If this stops spam, go for it. Personally, I think that post, when useful, are more useful that chats. 'Cause when you help someone, you can help everyone. Chats are ephimere, if that's spelt that way

Yeah, I was not clear, I meant that for the sake of chit-chat it would be a great idea.

Nothing wrong with the old cockney "swell"...and the word nifty conveys feelings that are impossible to show otherwise.

It sounds like it's a good idea, but the phpBB based chat is pretty simple - there'd be no private rooms etc etc. If that's fine then I'm OK with it
