BTW I made a pic viewer in VB, quite a long time ago, though. It used to display thumbs and you could click on the thumbs to view full size =P.

I took a look at the sourcecode. Not bad, it's a good start.

I made a scrolling picturebox control awhile ago because VB doesn't have one intrinsicly. I also made a little "preview" thingo based on PSP's Browser thumbnailer. I think I included the sourcecodes but I'm not sure...anyways, it might give you some ideas. You can find both in the Sock Drawer over at http://www.lostsocksoftware.com/

about the geocities thing... you can trick it into thinking the pic is a txt file (and let it through the filter) like this
