Hahah. That's what gave me my 30 minute limit on weekdays on the computer (though I manage to use my ninja skill to sneak on, and stay for what seems like hours).

When a student brings home a bad grade...instead of punishing the child, the parent(s) should become more involved with the child's education and make sure that they bring the grades back up through positive reinforcement rather than a fear of punishment. Of course, it's far easier to just punish the child and shirk parental responsibilities.

When one of my kids bring home a bad grade I do try my best to help. The only time I punish for grades is when they just refuse to try
