What is the thickest bestest Smile book of Qbasic there is on the market? Im tired of hunting for random tutorials on the net! I just want one huge book that will teach me everything I need to know so that when I look at source code I will understand it. I know that memorising the language wont help much but after Ive read it enough I will start to decipher other games and learn by examples. So please post your favorite Qbasic books and maybe post a few that are pocket sized so that I can read some on the go.
The "best" Q(uick)Basic book I have ever seen is BASICs for DOS by Gary Cornell. It won't teach you everything (no book can), but it's very complete.

The most recent book out there is the Revolutionary Guide to QBASIC. This is a decent book, but many of the techniques no longer apply (printing to Epson dot-matrix printers, paging with EGA graphics, etc.) and it has quite a few errors.

It was an advanced book, now available for download. Not a word about graphics...
I've got the programmer's guide and reference manual for QuickBASIC 4.1, and they're both excellent. I have no idea where you'd get them nowadays, tho.

If it's fast graphics and technique that interests you, it might be more productive to look for a more general book on 16-bit DOS development... since the concepts are the same and it's just implementation that differs.
