he merely drew the sword, added some text and filtered it with a texture. nothing hard.
here's something i made in about ten minutes to show you just how easy it is to make something cool looking.

Barok, how bout you twist the dagger you put into me???... jk :wink: , i know it was easy to make but wanted to know what you guys thought of it ,and also it's the first time I made something without going insane with all adobes confusing stuff. I'm also still working on it to make it look cooler...

Bevel/emboss and blur on the outlines and crosshatch on the blue inside? :???:
I'm not too good with photoshop myself, but I try to stay away from all-filter images such as that silver blade one... :wink:
