It's a lot simpler and easier to be on a home network with the router doing the firewall.

But I guess ZA is ok if you need to be able to deny internet access to apps running on your computer.
Yea, but ZA doesnt just do that - it is a fully functional firewall that stops attacks on your system...
What I want to know is if ZA will stop Sasser worm attacks?
Any firewall will stop Sasser if it is configured properly. In addition, you need patch 835732 installed. I didn't even realize it, but our computers here are completely immune to Sasser. Big Grin

Besides the fact that I dont install BS on the computer nor open strange email. If more people would do that virii wouldnt spread so fast or so far.
I've been using it for sometime now. Its good.

As I understand it, the Sasser worm actually hacks computers (using the exploit that the patch fixes), and that's the way it spreads - not by opening email attachments or downloading the 2KB version of Half-life from Kazaa.

And yes i agree, I think its one of those viruses like Blaster was, that infects stealthily and automatically just by having an open internet connection...
