I just opened a program I have been working on for ages, and tried to run it. half a sub had disapeared?

when holding shift and down to select text where the missing coe was, random lines of code appear from other places in that sub, not the missing suff?

luckily I have got backups, but I am confused to why this happened.

when trying to paste the code from my backup, qb just exited?

I am completely confused
Go to full screen.

Many times, coming back from graphics mode after an execution messes up things.

Golden rule: MSDOS programs in full screen.
I was in full screen, I exited and reopened and the error was still there
don't save it! close qb and open qb again. remember to save before you run though.
I have had that problem in the past.......just save the file in text format, open it in notepda, and re-save it......then open it in QB....delete the old file......

I was unable to recover my data, but you may b more fortunate

Alex~
use qb4med. Big Grin
it's much better! Smile Even without debug features... Wink

(Plasma's busy with a new version WITH debug ... Wink)
yes, I can copy my missing code into notepad and mend it that way, I was going to do that, but I havn't had time yet.
