This is my first drawing of a head in profile where I didn't use a model or photograph or anything like that for guidance. I scanned it from my pencil drawing in my trusty blank-sheet drawing notebook. It's the head of a man, mustache-d and bearded, with curly hair.
I personally thing the largest problems are with the nostril (it's to dark, and large), and the muscle lines I put in the neck and face. Also the tip of the nose is too messy - I just couldn't find an eraser . Of course I'm still very amateur, so I didn't expect more.
Anyway, if you could point anything out, I'd be grateful:

People are all about proportions. The eyes are about halfway down the face, the base of the nose is about halfway between the eyebrows and chin, and the edge of an expressionless mouth lines up with each pupil. It's a good start though, just keep on practicing.

I think its very good. The proportions are all wrong, but then again, look at most popular cartoons in the newspaper. Usually the proportions are all wrong, but that doesnt stop the picture being good art.
