There was like one download of 0.23. What a waste of time that was.

Im afraid, for me, it is the old compatibilty problems. I downloaded Ugl, but had problems with many of the video modes. And, alas, for many people Rellib is still easier and more compatible. (Not that I'm saying Ugl isnt any good, it is awesome)

i use UGL for testing routines.....but my gfx card doesnb like UGL so 320x200 8bit is it for me.......ive been using future lib lately, but UGL is wicked-fast, and has good compatibility (except for graphics )

UGL has a *lot* of compatibility issues. Unless you are able to sort them out, UGL wont be popular.

Eh, screw FL. UGL is still the best 13h library out there. So, yeah.

I'm still testing out all the libraries that I can find. I haven't tried UGL yet... I haven't tried rellib either though. :roll:

I use UGL a bit, and it works decently on my hardware (GeForce 4 MX 440) and software (WinXP with VDMSound).
@Blitz: I'm also considering writing a Mode-X extension to UGL if that doesn't seem too difficult... any thoughts? I need to find TASM or MASM somewhere first, tho... using NASM now...

Blitz, you sent me a copy of .23 months before you released it to the public. Do you still want some .mods to test out and possibly make the E60 addition? I think perhaps you should make a lighter version of UGL, one made specifically for 13h...perhaps then it would become a lot more popular. People get this delusion that just because they have an SVGA library in their hands, all of a sudden they can make uberleet games that will run on everyone's system when we all have found that that isn't true. A UGL version targetted specifically for 13h with the sound functions intact would be prime. It would cut out a lot of baggage and I think UGL's popularity would explode.

Too bad, we spent so much time on it. µGL isn't less compatible then any other 13h lib. If you set 320x200x8 with one page it will even me more compatible then some 13h libs such as DQB. It will work on ANY computer. Just take any of the things i made, it works on all computers, noone ever complained. But i think everyone here knows that, as i said it so many times. It's a shame really, so much power and so much cleaner and easier ways to do things. But in the end, qbers seems to prefer doing things the hard way.

I just don't get it, why someone wants to use a 13h lib if µGL offers a lot more in all ways and will work just as well in 320x200x8.

Nek, yeah, i'm still waiting for those mods. But remaking µGL would take too much work. It would be much easier to just start from scratch.

I'm currently using it for something, but I think it's 0.22. My computer's fine with it, except it has some issues with vector fonts.
