Dearest ALL of the QB45/QB71 community,

Hello to you and a rather so splendid new week to you all!! Cool !!

Celebrating my 250th post, I want to share with you something real special that I have discovered on the internet not too long ago. Have you ever heard of a Japanese internet radio station called Emusica? It is a very special radio station that is ENTIRELY devoted to (get this right now!) arcade game music!! And man, on most of the music for them games, they play back ALL of the original tracks you have used to love back then, from the “coin-in” sounds to the stage/boss musics and even to the “Game Over” and “Name Entry” musics!! My, ain’t that good? Big Grin !

Apparently, currently playing at least during the week of July 18, 2004 are ALL music tracks indeed from the following games:
  • • Air Buster (Kaneko; 1990; Arcade)
    • Cleopatra Fortune (Taito; 1996; Arcade)
    • Daytona USA (Sega; 1994; Arcade)
    • Detana!! Twinbee / Bells & Whistles (Konami; 1991; Arcade)
    • Dragon Saber (Namco; 1990; Arcade)
    • ESP Ra.De (Cave; 1998; Arcade)
    • Marchen Maze / Alice in Wonderland (Namco; 1988; Arcade)
    • Metal Soldier Issac II (Taito; 1985; Arcade)
    • Mr. Heli (Irem; 1987; Arcade)
    • Night Striker (Taito; 1989; Arcade)
    • Out Run (Sega; 1986; Arcade)
    • Pac-Mania (Namco; 1987; Arcade)
    • R-Type (Irem; 1987; Arcade)
    • Tatsujin / Truxton (Toaplan/Taito; 1988; Arcade)
    • Tatsujin II / Tatsujin Oh / Truxton II (Toaplan; 1992; Arcade)
    • Thunder Cross II (Konami; 1991; Arcade)
    • Thunder Dragon 2 (NMK; 1993; Arcade)

........and MANY more from within the coming weeks!! Stay tuned for that! Wink ! In the meantime, you can listen to this fiery-hot station by clicking going to this address:

Thanks and enjoy this fitting post, y’all!!! :king: !!

That sounds awesome, Adigun, but how do I play the station? it requests to dwonload "Emusica.pls", but nothing seems to support that?
WinAmp
Or windows mediaplayer 9.x (the one that comes with XP *blarg*)
But Windows Media player said it didnt recognise the file. And yes, I do have 9
To Dark_prevail and Z!re:

As far as I remember, at least RealOne Player and another free piece of software that you can download called XMplay (found within the site http://www.un4seen.com) actually play the original arcade tunes through Emusica.pls. Apparently, the reason you couldn’t reach Emusica is at that time was perhaps because the server is full. Sad But don’t you worry, guys, as the server will normally open up again within the next hour or sooner, so you can try the listening file on Winamp or Windows Media Player later, ok? Big Grin

On the link that I have so kindly showed you at the very top of the thread, do a right-click on it first and choose “Save Target As...” and save the file to your hard drive as well. Have you tried that? Also, you might want to try dragging the file to either Winamp, RealOne Player, or XMplay, or some other media player that you have to see if it can possibly resolve your problems.

I hope this all helps out and even works out, and thank you both and Plasma for your time this Tuesday. Wink

P.S. Just 10 minutes after I first written this very post you are looking at, Emusica just came back on after a downtime!! How about that, huh? Big Grin !
sn0st0rm multimedia player can also play the file, but good luck finding it online. If anyone wants a copy, email me. Big Grin
As plasma says, Winamp. Everyone uses and likes Winamp (except for MODs)... I guess...
This is kind of creepy.......

Interesting how someone could devote an entire 'radio' station to playing arcade music.... I'm listening anyways tho! :bounce:
I said it once and I will say it again. AAP, you need a life more than anyone I have ever known. And this time it should not be deleted because it is not an insult, nor am I trying to start an argument. I just simply never want to see another post about some useless "not crap" by AAP.

For those of you who read this, I'm leaving and this post being deleted is the reason why. This post being deleted is proof that administration here is what elsewhere is known as stupidity. For those of you who who did not see this post before it was deleted (or at least the above paragraph deleted), you will never know why I have left. Goodbye and enjoy ignorance.

By the way, didn't someone once get their thread locked for having nothing useful at all in it, and it being posted simply because it was a stupid post count number than ended in 0?
