i ,a QB fans, come from china and want to translate some useful articles in this forum here to chinese ,but how could i get the authorization ?
Most times, those articles are public domain. I guess nobody will be against you translating any articles, as long as you provide access to the translated articles when they're finished.
I wouldn't assume anything is public domain unless it specifically says so. If you want permission you can email the author. If the email is no longer valid or the author never responds, then I would say it's ok to go ahead.

Doesn't releasing them so we can read them count as "public domain" then?

You can translate anything I've written (though that's not much, any of my stuff is at qbnz.com)
No. Just because something is free does not make it public domain.
I think you can translate almost everything, as long as you leave copyright notices (if any) and does not make any money from it.
