How do people rip sprites and make emulators from games on cartridges?
Flawlessly...
It's not like there disks and you can take the info from a computer...
You rip the sprites from the rom, which comes from the cartridge, which comes from some guy who used to work for Nintendo... or some other guy that made an interface card. Basically, a card that lets you plug the cartridge into the peripheral port... useful hackers.

Roms ar dumped using preripherals like the action replay as Doc zed. :*)
