I know this may have been asked before (and I did search though the forum to check) but where can I get it for free?

I found out about VB 5 for free but I would prefer VB 6.

Thanks in advance... Big Grin

I got mine for $1 in Riga some years ago Tongue Well my dad bought it but anyways...

You could always copy someones CD.
zap thats outright piracy! are you proposing that he pirate a cd?!! :rotfl:

His friend who has the cd should make a copy of the disk as a backup measure, just incase if he accidentally destroys it. Somehow that cd can fall into keji's hands :bounce:

Not all low price stuff is piracy. People can sell on their software and, like a local game shop, prices can be reduced for valid reasons. I've also seen pirate games sold at very high prices. You could also try VB6 express for free(but I've not actually tried it and so don't know what you lose out on).
Chris posted this URL on Neozones yesterday.

It's not VB6 but "Visual Basic 2005 Express", which seems to be a cut down VB.NET.
If you don't want to pirate and you don't want to pay, well, you're going to have a hard time getting stuff. Ebay has it for a fair 50 bucks. Your next best shot's a newsgroup or a second-hand shop. It's going to be a little difficult for something as expensive as vb, though.
heh... microsoft had a vb.net promotional giveaway a while ago. Too bad it's still not offered.
Hmm... well i've decided that i can find a way to buy it (well to get the money that is, Holidays will be coming up soon ^-^) So i'll change my question to what's better VB 6 or VB .NET . If .Net is VB 6 and more then ill get that if not then i'll get VB 6...

Thanks for your replies...
