Can anyone tell me what happened to versions 5 and 6 in the Quick Basic line? I have not been able to find much information on these "missing" versions.
Dunno much about version 6, but if I'm not mistaked then quickBasic 5.x is actually stripped QBasic.
You know this is something that I have always wondered, why did go from 4.5 to 7.1...

Information from other sources this morning indicates that you are probably right that QBasic 1.0 was actually Quick Basic 5 without a compiler. I have also gotten some information that Quick Basic 6 was an early version of PDS. It seems to have had so many problems that it was only distributed for a very short time, withdrawn and replaced with PDS 7.0. If anyone has further information I would like to hear it.
