Just wanted to ask that what you people think of PowerBasic. I personally used to hate it, but now as I got it again it seems rather interesting...
And how is it's speed?
Powerbasic is awesome if you can get over its terrible IDE.
... who can? name one person
Me
Well at least I found a way to change it's horrible(black and so on) colors to normal. Now that this is done it's a bit more bearable.
Powerbasic... Didn't I hear about that awhile ago, and how it had all these so-called 'features'?
Like having so that you had to capitalize certain commands and it didn't do it automatically like in QB? That's not too bad, but listing it as a feature... Then again, it could be another language I'm thinking about.

I don't have QB's IDE setup like default blue/white, I prefer black/grey.
I haven't used powerbasic in years but it is powerful(pun not intended) but due to its cost never really got to like it ;-)
PB is good. But I dont like it very much. QB rulez =P.
Powerbasic can generate 80386 code, supports 8086 inline assembly, has more data types, has a much MUCH better maths package...and has the worst IDE known to modern man.
The IDE is what kills it. Price is irrelevant.
I'd take the PB IDE over the GW-BASIC "IDE" any day

I wouldn't have said it better
