How do I get the memory dump from a video game? (If you guys no what that is by chance)

Yeah, that basically sums up my question Smile
define "video game"...PC game (DOS or Windows?), console game (which conosle?), or arcade?
sorry about that, should've been a little bit more specific

PS2- Grand Theft Auto San Andreas
Perhaps a PS2 emulator might offer some clues. Big Grin Otherwise...you'll have to research the file formats the disc uses...unless you're talking about the PS2's RAM while playing the game...and in that case, see what I said about emulation. Big Grin
Actually I'm just trying to hack Gameshark/Action Replay codes for it...

And I hear if I get the memory dump it's a load helpful Tongue
Probably not if your reason for getting one is "I heard it's easier with a memory dump"
I asked a friend who would know and he said:
Probably not possible without a full emulator, but there may be Action Replay or Action Replay like hardware to download a memory dump.
He also says that Sony's "trusted partners" get a special dame development version of the ps2 that almost definitely would have memory dump functionality.
And finally, he said as long as I'm quoting him it should say, exact words: "Or just be a man and play it without cheating!" (I'm sure no offense is intended - he's kidding)
@ Jofers

No, I dont know what you mean. Just to make codes. Its something like this: Say you have 500 clips of ammo. You search for 500. Come up with 100,000 results. Lower your ammo to 480. Come up with 10,000 results. Lower it to 320. Come up with 5,000 results. Keep on repeating the process until you can find that adress..

@Sterling

Nah, I dont do it for the soul factor of just trying to make the game more easier..such as infininte health codes and infinite ammo. Those codes are not fun, and they are already created. Codes that would be cool is nitro speed, changing car colors, not falling off bikes and stuff like that.
I have an ARMAX, but the team that has the memory dump WILL NOT release it for someone reason, and whenever I ask for it or someone else does they do not respond..
