Anyone ever hear of a program that can do this [Record a stream]? So when you go to listen to a song on a site you don't get it in little 5 second blips cause you live in the arsehole of nowhere and are on a pissy little dial up connection?

I read in a newspaper somewhere that there are programs available that will record a whole streamed video/song and allow you to save it, and I can see the advantages of having one of those... Do any of you use one or have heard anything about one?

There are quite a few programs that record streams...the program to use depends on the type of stream. (For shoutcast (winamp) streams, StreamRipper works great.)
