I just tried a lil OpenGL textured cube and it runs like the slowest thing ever possible. I tried to run the same program on a 400mhz with 64mb vidcard and it runs flawlessly.
:*(

No GL for me in a while I guess. :*(
what card? driver issue? oc?
2mb vid card. That answer it?
o...i'm guessing that if it's 2mb that it doesnt support OGL that well. what version?
You can get a Voodoo3 PCI for around $7 in ebay, and those cards rock and are cheap.
I have the same problem. EVERYthing using ogl has like 2 fps.
But it does have a crappy built in gfx card...
I will buy a new computer "soon"...

My development PC has a 1Mb card!! :barf:

!!

Like Nathan said, you can find great deals on EBay. You should also be able to find older cheaper cards.
Yeah, but from what I understand, deflation puts that $7 at around $90 equivalence in the US.

Graphics cards are expensive, even with US inflation. The "cheap" brands cost $100 Sad

I think I read somewhere that dx and opengl's routines without hardware acceleration is slower than just making your own blitter. Is this problem with all openGL apps or just yours? How did that opengl test for fb from earlier work?
The OGL/DX apps are probably using the Refererece Rasterizer if it's running at that speed - which can be used by various people to test if HW accelerated things are working ok.

Not meant to be a serious software rasterizer.

If you are really saying that you cant buy a card for less then that there, what about getting someone to buy it in another country and send it? I dont really understand how $7 could possibly rise to $90 in the US, but i would be happy to help if rel needs someone to buy him a card in the UK, or at least outisde of the US.
