Not really. It depends upon your proximity to a source of gravity =P.

I think he was refering to the fact that the whole thing about weight is a misconception.

The person would actually be measured in mass(Kg). Then gravity according to a particular planet would be applied, to calculate the weight (in Newtons).

So if your mass was 70Kg, you would weigh 70 * 9.8 (gravitational field strength for earth) = 686N
