Hello

It seems that my 1 gig of space for windows 95 is running out of memory..

Do I have to purchase a new specific harddrive for win 95 or will any hardrive work?

And how much will this cost? I really only need no more than 10 gig at the moment.

Thanks!
Win95 doesent support HDs over Xgb

Get win98 SE, it works on any machine 95 worked on, and really is a lot better.

Most HD manufacturers can supply you with a small BIOS flash so you can use disks of up to something like 160GB under win98 SE
Where can I get win98 and how much does it cost?

Thanks
I bought a copy at a library sale for $2. Of course that doesn't mean you won't have limits. Computers made around the time of Windows 95 had BIOSes that were limited to 8GB.

Of course even with 98's FAT32 you won't be limitless. FAT32 is limited to a harddrive size of 124.5GB. That's pretty limiting wouldn't you say?
Cheers!
Win98 SE, is the OS I use (QB4.5 works great for me with it),
but if you can't obtain a copy of that and still are stuck with WIN95 then, look into the HD manufactures docs and specs.
Some drives >2.1 GB will function with WIN95, if you change the jumper settings, which usually are; Standard Settings to Special Settings. Additionally these HD's may also require specific software drivers, which would probablly be available through the manufacturers website.

Thanks!
