Scanned one of the original FaceFulOfFur characters done in charcol. It took about 20 minutes to do, seeing as this was my first charcol experience. Let me tell you, this medium has so many more options that graphite or lead has to offer. I highly suggest tryin it out (you'll get used to it.)

::EDIT:::
Almost forgot. "Hey Na_Th_an!!! Lookie, it's 'un-natural'!!! Tongue :rotfl: "
Looks great, I never could get used to charcoal though. Always felt so... Inprecise to me. Personally I just prefer a good ol' sharp graphite pencil.
(by the way, who knew furries are so much more difficult to draw than humans? )

hehehe, it's the other way around for me Tongue
Well, I suppose it depends on what you started drawing first.
Practice practice practice...
Though I kinda doubt there's any books on drawing anthro...something (anthropomorphic? jeez, the people who think up these words) characters in the stores around here, and if there are, they probably aren't worth it.
At least, such is my experience with the majority of books on drawing in general I've read in the past.
drawing books are like politic books. they just tell you what to do Tongue

the way i did it was:
1)watched alot of anthoro movies back in the day like, balto, lion king, and etc.
2)took a look at real life animals, and tried a mixture of the two (real life and cartoon).
3)draw. even when they sucked, you just have to keep drawing. i mean, if you draw 100 pages, and only one has something halfway decent on it, then you have accomplished ALOT! Big Grin

I could write out a tutorial on muzzle anatomy for you if you want, but thats about all i'm good for as far as teaching Wink
Well, I am trying to get more proficient in drawing in various styles, so anything helps. Smile
Eh... Seems I might've accidentally steered this topic off the road a bit. :-?
not at all. and your avatar changing every time i see it makes this whole thing amusing to me Smile
Bahaha... Yeah, I'm trying to find one that works well. I think I'll just leave it how it is for awhile now... :rotfl:

EDIT: There! Last one! I swear! ...
there! Mine can change too Tongue

believe it or not, posing a wooden dummy is more fun than any of you will ever imagine...
I agree.
Too bad I don't have access to one anymore, those things are crazily awesome for easily entertained people.
Same goes for canned air.
