Usually when I get pissed off/depressed/whatever, I go out to the studio built on to the house and just draw to some loud pissed-off music. Helps alot, and plus I usually get pretty creative. This is the result of that, did it in... Hmm... Not sure how long... In the space of a Strapping Young Lad CD anyway, so probably somewhere just over half an hour (I'm guessing around 40 minutes or so).
What started out as a charicature of me ended up as something COMPLETELY different...

Noooo idea. I just added that little cutaway for the sake of having it... The whole thing doesn't really
mean anything, it's just a kind of "hey, I'm pissed off, I'm gonna randomly draw something" thing.
EDIT: Just realized, he kinda looks like Devin Townsend crossed with Robotnik, doesn't he? :rotfl:

What I think is cool about drawing emotionally is that the emotion you're feeling is almost always drawn into your picture. Same goes for music too...you can hear the emotion the musician was feeling when he/she made the piece.

Earlier today, I went out to the studio and drew myself from staring at a mirror... Done in under an hour, colored in 25 minutes or less in Photoshop. I'm pretty happy with it. (the pic is of course drawn backwards due to it being a mirror drawing... so I'm left-handed in reality and that little logo bit on my fleece is actually on the left)

I like the first one, because despite how simple it looks, it still looks pretty realistic, and I can get a good idea of what you must look like.
However, it stands no chance against the afro alien. I don't even need to
start on why it's the best.

Yeah, apart from the hair color (the whole thing's done in a really washed out pastel-like sceme; my real hair is more like that of my 'avatar me', but crazy and messed up like the sketch) it's pretty much exactly what I look like. I didn't think I could get it to look right, but even the facial expression (seems to be my 'default' one for some reason) turned out perfect...
