ARG! This is bloody annoying.
Lately when I have been doing web design on a new site, when i update a picture or web page, the browser (firefox) refuses to show the new version, and instead shows the cached one. I have to resort to clearing the entire cache manually, then reloading the page, before it shows the new version. And its not just with my site. A friend updated one of his pages and for several days it showed the old version, until I finally cleared the cache.
This a ridiculous functionality disorder, and I definately should not have to clear the cache manually. What is causing this? Is there any way to make the browser more sensitive to changed content, or is the problem more complex?
