Here's a question that's plauged me for some 2 odd years... and I just remembered about it now. IS it possible to reroute the internal "beeper" speaker to the external speakers? Like my brother's laptop plays the beeper sounds through the normal speakers, so is it possible to do that with my computer?
If you're using Windows, see if your volume controls have one called "PC Speaker" like mine does (I've got a Creative SoundBlaster Live!). If so, unmute it and turn up the volume.

I imagine after that it would beep out of both... I guess you could open up your case and disconnect the power supply to the pc speaker, but there's probably a much easier way to silence it that I don't know of.
In my experience for this to work you need 1) a sound card that has a physical 2-pin "pc speaker" input on it and 2) have to connect the pins on your motherboard where you would normally connect the pc speaker to your sound card.

The only sound card I have ever seen with a physical pc speaker input is the Sound Blaster 16, although I'm sure there are other ones.
yeah like plasma sadi you can physicaly attache the wires. i adives not to, it can get messy.
