For those who don't recognize the game, it's Zelda 2 on the NES. This is a screenie of my NES emulator, YANE (Yet Another NES Emulator). It's based on Kevin Miller's "olafnes", which is based on basicNES 2000. All three are written in Visual Basic 6.
Although it shares the same codebase as olafnes, YANE runs about 20% faster due to a lot of rewritten code and various features removed from the emulation core, especially in the area of graphics. It's about as fast as possible for VB, especially considering the fact that it uses the GDI. As a test, I played through an entire game of Zelda 2. Full framerate for most of the game.
I can just imagine how much better it's going to be after I've ported it to freeBASIC.
I would be interested in the 6502 core then.
A new Brotkasten emulator! ^.^
Any naming ideas?
Maybee Basic64?
I'm interested in the 6502 core as well. I'd like to make a decent emulator for the forgotten Oric Atmos.
Hay cool,.. I needed one of these b4, but the only one I could find didn't work,
, now I've deleted the NES game off my comp..
Say, is there a way to pull a NES info off the card to your comp? :???:
Yes, there is, but downloading the rom from the internet it's easier and cheaper.

But not from the WWW, it was times ago...
Nowadays people use emule for their abandonware needs, if you are on a flat, though...
Name a NES ROM and I'll find it using google.
Everything is there if you look hard enough
If I could find three different Microsoft Windows Chicago betas, I can find anything
Ok, find me a full version of DELMIA IGRIP.
