Crazy dream I had last night...

Quote:It was rather a peaceful evening. A couple friends and I went to the store to pick up some stuff for the weekend. Fixtures of fluorescent lights lit up the isles full of bright colored drinks and foods. After some shopping I went to the checkout and purchased them. Afterwards we got in the car and headed to my house which happened to be out of town in the middle of a field. Well, we apparently went inside and put the groceries away. It was getting late, so we decided to hit the sack and get some sleep.
Later that night I woke up, laying on my bed. It was around the middle of the night. I sat up and turned on the lamp next to me. It lit up very dim. Infact, so dim that it served no use to light up the room. I turned it off and tried again. This time it turned on a little brighter, but still very dim. Again and again I tried. About the 5th time it finally turned on to a decent amount of light. It was still pretty dim, but good enough to where I can see my way around the room. I got out of bed and walked out to the living room. It was very dark out there too, so I hit the switch to turn on the fluorescent lights. The lights started to flicker constantly. Then off they went. I hit the light switch again. They flickered again, but this time they turned on. My 2 friends came out into the living to see what was going on. Well, there wasn't much to see. The lights finally decided to work. Before we all decided to go back to bed I notice something. There were 2 glass doors next to each other that lead outside. The blinds shielded the outside view. Down below under the crack of the door something was creeping inside really slowly. It was a cat. So far it only managed to get the upper-part of it's head inside. You could see the roof of it's mouth with it's front teeth sticking up at you. This was really creepy. Somehow this cat was slowly slipping inside through the little crack underneath the door, so slow that the last few hours we spent sleeping was only enough to get that part inside. This was no ordinary cat. We were all a little fearful. I had the feeling that pure evil was trying to slip in through the cracks into my house that night. I didn't like it. One of my friends opened the door that wasn't above the cat so that he could get a look outside at the door that was above the cat. Sure enough the other half of the cat was there. Then, all of the sudden, this other cat leaps out of the darkness into the house. It takes down my other friend. This cat was able to bite out chucks of his flesh really quickly. I hurried and grabbed a big and sharp knife out of the kitchen and came back. I was able to pin down the cat and brutally chop its head off. After that there was a feeling of relief among us. Unfortunately we forgot the door was still open and in leaped another cat. We took some damage from that one before I was able to chop that one's head off as well. We were okay. We hurried and slammed the door shut. When we turned around we noticed the guy that was attacked by the first cat was on the floor laying dead with giant chunks of flesh ripped out of his neck. We had nothing else to do. There was no phone. We just had to wait out the night. I took care of the cat that was slowly creeping in through the crack in the door by slicing it with the knife. Afterwards we somehow managed to go back to bed and get some sleep.
In the morning the sunlight shining down from the bright blue sky was very comforting. We felt safe and felt that the danger that lurked around in the night was now gone. It was just me and some girl. The other guy was killed by the cat the night before. The trash needed to be taken out, so she decided to do the job. She opens the door and heads out with the trash. Seconds later she comes running back inside and slams the door. Just as soon as she can turn around and look back at what was chasing here, there's a giant pound on the door. The glass shattered and flew off in every direction. Giant ivory claws poked through. I wasn't able to get a clear view of what just rammed the door-because of the blinds. I was able to notice that it was something brown, very large, fury, and it had giant curved ivory claws that penetrated through the door. It backed off and rammed the door again. This time it busted through and was inside. We ran as fast as we could upstairs. Fortunately there was a latter outside that lead up to one of the upstairs windows. I let her go down first. As soon as I got on the monster had caught up to me and pushed the latter I was on. The latter tipped over and I fell down. Luckily there was a pond below that I fell into. The pond was about knee-deep. I stood up and noticed some ducks swiming around the tall brown grass growing out from the pond. She was also in the pond too. Anyways, the monster was up on the second floor and we were down on the pond. We felt a little safer, but had to take quick action to get away. It was just right after that that some yellow butterflies came down from the sky in a giant swarm. It was a little odd, but it didn't look threatening. It caught my attention. Before I could think, they came down on my and consumed me in a matter of seconds. Well, by then I was viewing my dream from a 3rd person view. She, however was still alive and saw what happened to me. The butterflies came after her. She was able to dive into the pond was and dodge them a few times. Then she made an attempt to get out of the pond and run for her life. She made it out of the pond and started running as fast as she could. The butterflies were catching up to her and she knew it. She, being in shock and starting to break down and give up her life, looked up to the sky and screamed out to god, "What do you want me to say?! I'm scared!!!"
As soon as she said that, all the dangers disappeared. The butterflies were gone. The monster in the house was gone. It was silent and peaceful. It was just the sun beating down on her and a gentle breeze. Before she was able to start to think what had just happened, a man in a cloak appeared and told her she was part of his game. He went on and explained the game. The game was that you were presented with dangers that threatened your life. You can escape from the dangers any time by saying "I'm scared" and you will be instantly transported to a new reality full of new dangers. It wasn't much, but that's all he said and he disappeared. She was then transported to a new reality. I can't remember all of them, but she went through quite a few and narrowly escaped death by screaming "I'm scared" where then she was taken to a new reality. She was starting to get the hang of it, but she couldn't go on like this forever. It was then that the man in the cloak appeared again and explained more about the game. He said in order to complete this game and get back home to your own reality, you had to destory the dangers that threatened you in that reality that you were in at the time. So either you find a way to fight off the dangers, or you were in a eternal loop of constantly escaping from one dangerous reality into another. Afterwards he left again. This time she was transported to a new reality where she was introduced to team of about 4 or 5 others. This was an advantage, being that they could all work together to get home. Everyone else in that team went through the same thing she did, but in other forms. So they all started to collaberate on how they were going to fight off the dangers.
Unfortunately my dreams don't go one forever and it was around there where my dream ended.

Hey, so I hope you enjoyed reading this...uh...or something. If you have your own weird dream that you remember, post it here!
Hmm... let me interpret this.
You're scared of butterflies and large furry things-- Oh, and judging by the rest it looks like you'll have... umm... financial success... in the next... some time. Yep, that is indeed what it must mean.
I have some pretty crazy dreams sometimes, but I often forget to write them down unless I'm sure they mean something. (I'm not one to place my faith in dreams, but if I see something I've been waiting to see or a pattern of some kind I'll take notice of it)
interesting random transitions, good memory overall (I assume some of it had to be filled in but it didn't seem too concaucted)

Sounds like a freakin doom 3 nightmare.

But then, as in many dreams, you discover some insight: when you're faced with a challenge that makes you afraid, the only way to overcome it is to face it; avoidance just prolonges the inevitible.

interesting you mention the light levels and occasional 3rd personny feeling too.

The connections we can make in dreams are quite remarkable. I find that often times you can remember things you haven't even thought about at all for a long time in dreams, and you can find explanations and answers for lingering questions that you didn't even realize you were curious about. It's often a good way to gague how you feel about the people around you.

Well uh keep on dreamin'

Quote:You should probably keep it to yourself. People around here like to label you for having dreams like that. You might end up in the asylum for even speaking of such dreams.
You label me. I'll label you.
oops... I forgot to add a smiley. Tongue

Quote:Imagine you were at my station
And you brought your motor to me
Your a burner yeah a real motor car
Said you wanna get your order filled
Made me shiver when I put it in
Pumping just won't do ya know luckily for you
Whoever thought you'd be better
At turning a screw than me
I do it for my life
Made my drive shaft crank
Made my pistons bulge
Made my ball bearing melt from the heat
We were shifting hard when we took off
Put tonight all four on the floor
When we hit top end you know it feels to slow
I'm giving you my room service
And ya know it's more than enough
Oh one more time ya know I'm in love

Is that about sex, or working on someone's car? :rotfl:
