Someone, besides RPGDX, despretely needs to host a mini RPG competition for freeBASIC. The reasons for which I say this are:
1) There are hardly any good RPGs for freeBASIC.
2) If any real good RPGs are made it could make the community a lot larger.
3) It would be a lot of fun.
Anyone have any opinions, thoughts, comments or queries?
I belive, if Z!re is still doing this, is working on MOORPG, or what ever she renamed it to.
Regardless we should still have an RPG competition. One RPG that is concidered good by some and awful by others doesn't seem to cut it in my opinion. :-P I mean, how hard is it to simply set up a competition, I'm sure many people would compete.
Name one RPG at least one person will not call a piece of SH*T, Final Fantasy 10 is worshipped by some, it is hated by others, even great games like Halo and Halo 2 (not RPG's i know) have some haters.

I think we should keep to the topic...
If no-one here is interested in an RPG competition, which seems to be the case, then I'll have to find a new community.
We could do a mini-RPG competition in QB Express next month (April).
Gustav, if you want to write up the rules and regulations for it, I'll gladly sponsor the compo.
It would have to be a month long so that the competition could go between two issues.
I agree with you, a mini-RPG competition is a great idea, and it's been way too long since there's been a good one in this community. Now that FreeBasic's out, it's the perfect time.
or at rpg-dev.net, we could have a fb rpg competition, since some people there are asking for one. Though, they would probably want to use more than freebasic.
Btw, MOORPG is now going to be a MMORPG.

and how can you say moo sucks? Z!re hasn't finished enough of it to truly be judged yet. All we've seen is a scrolling engine, and Z!re's plans. Back in qb, Z!re has found ways past some of qb's limitations (It takes hours to get from one side of the map to the other, for example.)
