I'm thinking of trying out Linux and was wandering after I have downloaded the ISO do I want to burn the zipped file to a CD or the unzipped files. So do I write the file Morphix...etc.iso to a CD or unzip that file and put all the files that have been unzipped onto the CD. I'm thinking of using morphix.

how I did it is:
1. went to my CD burning thingy (Nero)
2. then I selected "Burn image"
3. then i proceeded to burned that onto a cd
I also have Nero is the tool I need to use called - Burn Image to Disk
sometime i was planning on getting all the livecd linuxes i could find =P
Quick I need a list of all the good ones (don't want to use crappy ones)
I have knoppix then i forgot about my whole goal
aww... that site got me excited for a second... thought i could just download the usb version and put it on my flash drive... I already have 3! I don't need another one!
btw, why would you want to get all the linux cd's? I would just think that one or two would be good enough. (one that runs well on slow comps, one that boots on comps from cd, etc. etc.)
or is it like pokemon... you gotta catch 'em all?

what would ppl recommend for distros?
i'm planning on dling knoppix, just for system recovery purposes usually. Is knoppix the best for cd-os's?
I also heard red had and mandrake are two of the best, but i'd like to hear from a linux user before dling another one.

Ever tryed writing to your hd in knoppix, not the easiest task on the earth....
