Can anyone find a wav file...or anyother kind of sound file for that matter from the old Sega Genesis game Hard drivin or Super Hang On? I'm looking for original sound tracks...not remixes.

i heard somewhere that theres a way to get games off the internet if you dont own them. i dont know how, i never have, i never will. I'm sure its illegal.

one time i heard this guy talking and he said something like "google 'genesis roms Super Hang On' " but i didnt have ANY idea what he was talking about... oh well

aahh who cares if somebody downloads a rom.. i've tried to find a couple of games at stores, and i couldnt find it anywhere, not even online, so i downloaded a rom.. its not like anybody makes money off of old nintendo games.... well, not anybody who will sue you i think... lol, pawnshops...lol, anyhoo.. i think of it like this.. if i cant buy it.. and nobody really is still making $$ off of it..then dload it of kazaa or emule or something....

-and remember, its not "stealing" cause you never really "took" anything.. stealing is where you take something from somebody, and then they dont have it anymore, if you copy there file, they still have it...-

I've been there already, but they're not original sound tracks...other people play it on the keyboard and record it. Besides they don't have Hard Drivin. Also they're MIDIs, not wavs.

Get a good emulator, i.e. Gens, a ROM, and output the sound to a file or use the Stereo Output from your video card to record it using a sound program such as cool edit.

i recomend audacity for the recording, its open source, and not near as bulky as cool edit :wink:

Cool Edit (now Adobe Audition) is the only program to have everything I need, plus it's fast and stable. And trust me, I've tried a whole lot. I wouldn't call it "bulky" as it offers like 20 times the functionality of Audacity.

I mean native support for DirectX and VST effects (not the unstable walkaround of Audacity), multitrack with realtime effects and loops, realtime effect loops, support for software synthesizers, full spectral editing, lots of noise and restoring tools, built-in high quality vocoder, pitch shifter and spectral mirror, built-in CDA designer with CD burner (so you can really design your CDs creating crossfades between songs and awesome effects that you can't get just draggin'n'drop your files in Nero), built-in CD ripper, saves to almost any sound format out there, has the best distortion I've heard, awesome reverb/echo/delay/flanger/wah-wah/phaser effects, center channel extractor, voice isolator, brainwave synthesizers, resonators, expanders, and the list could go on for 10 pages.

Taking in account that Audition isn't just a sound editor but a sound editor+multitrack recorder+CDA designer+CDA ripper, it's normal that it takes way more than Audacity. Audacity is cool and stuff, but it's unstable and slooooooooooow.

Same thing that happens with Photoshop and the Gimp... Open Source isn't always the way to go.

If I can get that in 30 megs (size of Adobe Audition 1.5), I'm happy

i'll have to agree with na_th_an, Cool edit (i guess the new version is called adobe audition or whatever) is the way to go to record basically anything. i use it for Everything. except loops, which i sometimes create in modplug. anyways...

if youre gonna download a rom might as well download cool edit, right? <.<
