Yesterday i recieved a program by someone , it was a 3d program,one of my favoriites, Believe it or not it has the capabilities to be competative with directx. UGL was used for texturing. All 3d engine was done by himself with the help of some qb comunities members. Very good work. My hat gets tipped for qb programers.

Didn't DS4QB inteface with DirectX for audio? I know the graphics would be obvious, but if running in Windows, perhaps it is possible? What beats me is how does UGL interface with DirectX... does that not defeat the purpose of UGL? What's the point? Explain to us how that works Sandy.

damn it, he is a fucking nut. ugl is a software renderer that does NOT interface with directx in any way. also, chances that a software render can beat hardware accelerated directx ( or directgraphics to be precise ) are 0, zero NUll. he basically states crap. *meremembersbadlogicforummhhh*
I wouldn't say Sandy is a **** nut. I'd say the guy who gave him this program is. The guys over at bad-logic.com aren't all bad either. Ask yourself this: before FB, what graphics library would you have used? My lucky guess is UGL. That's if you still used QB at the time. And who created UGL? bad-logic.com
Although I see your point. No way in hell even if it had frozen over, can UGL interface with a library of a different platform and of a completely superior standard. I know that, we all do. Even Sandy does. I chat with him from time to time on MSN. Although he can be a bit whacky with his ideas, he knows what he is talking about. Well, til now. I bet he was fed a lot of bull**** and convinced to believe this "program" (and I quoted that because no one here has seen it) can do what he claims.

He never said it interfaced. He just said it could compete with DX. I think he was referring to the quality. Either way its true that software won't beat hardware in terms of speed and quality...
