I spent a week making this originaly in QB with inline DATA.. it was so big I had to break it into 3 parts.. I thought and figured how to re-use that coded inline DATA.. OpenGL seemed nice. So insted of casing the array into pixels, I made it do it with glQUADS... here, look.. 8)

Was for a logo comp, but I remade it so it is more 3D looking..
Enjoy!
Wow, stupendous...to say the least...that added 3D emphasis is a big plus to the overall effect :-). way to go man.
 1 Reply, I'm never good at estimating, I thought I'd get 0,. hehe.. ^_^
Ah, you seen the first OGL attempt (flat image),. or just saying? lol,.
thanks BTW..
My only complaint is that it runs too fast!
Perhaps half that speed would make a more viewable logo.
Good job though, looks nice!

Nope I actually saw the prior version without the 3D effect...:-) Damn dude how bad do you think I am at evaluating? LOLOL
seriously...don't take it out :-)....it's awesome like that :-)
^_^ It runs to slow here,.. or at diff speeds.. If I get on my dads login, it keeps good pace,. but on the main screen, its really slow...
oh well, maybe I can put a chain like effect on it, keep it where it runs on mine, and not to fast for others..  Done this b4, how well it worked, dunno, had no speed complaints on the parts I remembered to put it on.. lol
Thanks 4 the comments..
Or just make the logo rotate with a constant angular velocity (radians per second). Calculate the time elapsed since the last frame update and rotate accordingly. For your slow computer, it might appear to be a tiny bit stuttery, but for faster computers, it will appear smooth. The main point is that it will rotate at the correct speed.
Looks great, by the way.

@ Shift: Hmm, yeah, I like that idea better,.. sounds effective..
