Due to the fact that there were absolutely *no* invitation sign-ups to the
QBCPC 2004/2005 before the deadline of April 30 has expired, this compo has indeed been cancelled. So then, I am finally giving the
QuickBASIC Caliber Programming Compo a fond goodbye once and for all, and you can read all about it and more beginning at
http://dhost.hopto.org/aapproj/qbcpc/index.html.
Be seeing you there.
Well, some things simply don't success no matter how much effort you put into it. Remember, effort doesn't result in proportional success. You can never blame people for not responding to your work the way you want. I'm glad you are not like some people(wink-wink) who usually decide to abandon the community after similar experiences like yours. I'm looking forward to your projects in freebasic, especially FJ. BTW, loved that article of yours in QB Express about attaching icons to exe files.
To Lachie:
Look now, I must clearly say up front that you are
totally correct, man.
^_^=b ! I mean, I am not even *about* to give up on this QB45/QB71/FB community like a terrified lilly-livered coward just because my first three compos crashed and burned out all of a sudden, you know?
That is without a doubt why in my next new compo â and it is gonna be entirely an FB demoscene compo that is gonna be scheduled for this summer â I am gonna just keep things real and keep things simple, even on the numbering and structure of my new Official Entry Rules. PERIOD. I can promise you that, Lachie.
Also, I must clearly say too that you are also right about saying that I cannot blame other people for my own failures and stuff like that. And
man, I am learning that, believe me! Hey, just part of what being a human being is all about, after all.
Way to say it like it TRULY is, Lachie, and be checking you out later!! :king: !

P.S. Hey, about my tutorial, I am *sure* glad too that you enjoyed it, so I thank you so much! Bless your heart on that, man!!
