Quote:Perhaps one of the things that could be added to the Wiki is a tutorial for newbies on how to add to the Wiki.

yes i totalllly agree not everyone out there knows about this stuff!
Read the Naming and Writing conventions. I still have to add little bits, but for the most part they are done for Tutorials.

i feel comfortable adding what i know to whats there, but im still not sure how to actually add a completely new command page that isnt there yet... any help in this area would be appreciated (or you could just make the shell and ill fill it in ;) )
Use this URL :
http://www.freebasic.net/wiki/wikka.php?wakka=
After the equal sign include the name of the page you want to create, then follow the onscreen instructions.
Make certain the name of the file you are creating (ie the name after the equal sign) complies with the Naming Conventions

hey thanks!

edit: i see its clear about tut... from what i see the keywords should start with "Key" then they say "Pg" is this only because of the double capitals needed for wiki??

if i was to for instance make a page on CALLOCATE should i name it

http://www.freebasic.net/wiki/wikka.php?...gCallocate

? sorry if i sound no0bish ;p
Yes, that's exactly what it should be named.
**Edit, I've added this info to the naming conventions page**
Didn't nexinarius store his copy in a mysql database? That should be relatively matter getting the data from there.

I've got quite a few pages of the toc already written for you in the cvs in the incomplete folder, because I never updated their syntax. I'll work a bit on those later tonight.
Please, if you are just viewing a page's code, do not select store when you done, rather select cancel, it helps us tell what pages are being modified and witch are aren't.
By the same token, if you are making an edit please, please, please write a little note saying what you did and why, again it helps others know whats going on and also helps us to fix any errors that you may have inadverdantly introduced onto a page.

sorry i havent been leaving notes :S ill do so in the future
I just finished fixing the links in many of tutorials and I noticed that people are linking to Preproccesor keywords by postfixing them with "PP", so I've added this to the naming conventions page.
