When I first ran it(win98se, no gfx card but integrated, AMD Sempron running at 700 mhz) it ran with pretty good speed. In fact the speed was very good. Then I went to XP. It went incredibly slow.... Lately I got a 512mb geforce 6200 gfx card. It's still slow, and the textures now have got a weird blue-ish tint to it, where earlier it didn't. Any suggestions?
Are you running with multiple monitors (i.e. Dualview or span, or whatever it's called)? If so, I think OpenGL decides that it can't accelerate the whole display, so it drops back to a software renderer. I've had similar problems (OpenGL programs refuse to start) with my new 6600 when in dualview mode; changing back to single-monitor mode fixed it.
OpenGL driver update?
I think I might need the new drivers...I got lost on the OGL website looking for them. How big are they? cuz I'm using dial-up... also I'm using a single CRT monitor..
Grab the newest drivers from nvidia.com.
Man, I need to update that thing. There were some weird errors & stuff... I'll update it sometime today. Let us know if the updated driver fixes it, ok? Wink
