Strange things can happen around the Internet and copyright...
I have this image since years:
I found this one recently (Cheetah named Zulu, DeWildt Wildlife Centre):
Now mirror one of the Cheetahs... Strange, huh??!
Seeing this it is a very poor quality thing... Awfully cut around, contrast was reduced a little then inserted over that blurry backround, and of course mirrored and resized. Finally saved as a low quality JPG to hide the faults around the cutting. Without seeing the original i never thought about that it is a copy, i just thought that it is just a poor quality JPG for a web page to download as fast as possible.
When i saw that second image it instantly got in my mind that "i must have seen this Cheetah somewhere"... The positure was what led me to the old picture: i remembered to that i had seen a Cheetah in the same running positure - it can not happen so easily to take two at 100Km/h the same way, not to mention that the running style can differ (so an other Cheetah might absolutely miss this positure since (s)he used to hit the ground with her/his legs in a little different order).
Just wondering... What can happen to evade copyrights? (Although there was no note about any with the original image of Zulu).
(Note: the images are thumbnails, click them for full size)
