here lately i'm having lots of trouble focusing, i wonder if i have some type of attention problem.. is there anything i can buy over the counter to help my focus?

somebody told me that ephedrine can help, but i thought that stuff was supposed to be bad for you
ask your doctor. simple enough -_-
well, the reason i'm looking for over counter stuff, is cause i dont have a doctor.... i cant afford that
well, i did some of my own research and found that ephedrine can be dangerous, and causes heart problems by increasing your blood pressure to intolerable levels.. so that doesent sound like a good idea at all... wich leaves me looking for another means of self medication

also, i looked up the symptoms of adult ADD and out of about 15 symptoms, i suffer from all but 1 Sad

ephedrine is illegal in illinois, because like u said, its a health risk.

talk to a doctor. i did, and in the last week ive become like a whole different person (you can tell; i havent been trolling here 24/7, rofl)
My mom has been on these music CDs that uses some sorta sub-sonic (if thats the correct term for Hz below 20) wave sinking... Used with sterio headphones to increase brain activity.. thus consintration.. Try a Google for: Himisink meditation CDs.. give or take on the spelling..
Quote:sterio headphones
Headphones cant generate sounds lower than ~45 Hz. (Unless you have headphones with subwoofers in them... big headphones then Tongue)

Quote:sub-sonic
Subsonic is a indication of speed, not of frequency (although wavelength and speed are related).
The speed of sound is given as:
Code:
a = SQR(gamma * R * T)
in which a is the speed of sound, gamma the ratio of specific heats Cp and Ct (~1.4 for air at std conditions), R is the gas constant (~286 m^2/s^2/K for air), and T the temperature of the gas.
Everything below this speed is called sub-sonic.
my headphones can generate sounds all the way down to 18hz ... they are sortof large in size, they only cost me 20.00 US .... chek out headphones by sony and koss, i love koss.....

thats way off topic

anyhoo, about the focusing thing, Cha0s, what are you taking>? and is it for children or adults?
hey Neo whats nu?

WhiteTiger gave you the best advice --- see a doctor. Don't try to diagnose the problem yourself, and don't try to medicate yourself with over the counter drugs. Worst yet, don't take medications offered by a well-meaning friend.

There must be a free hospital, like a county hospital or clinic where you can go for professional advice. If you don't know, ask at your pharmacy.

Hope you feel better, buddy.
