On mine it works fine, assuming pressing the Up key is only supposed to display "UP" under the "Press Up" text.
I don't know what else it's supposed to do (other than make the smiley, which makes use of the ALPHA keyword in the PUT statement (works), bounce around).
The Quick Run feature of FBIDE makes it seem "choppy" though, like it skips a frame.
the press up thing has nothing to do with it.
its working the way it should. but it slows down sometimes. and i was wondering if there was a way to fix it. i mean is there something wrong with the way i wrote the program?

shouldnt affect anything, but the screen lock / unlock are completely unecessary in this case, as you arent directly modifying the display memory.
btw, please post source next time instead of uploading it.. its 50 lines long :P
