I am using freeBasic for DOS. I have a problem about freeBasic scrolling down for some reason. I would like to know how to print on the last line so that the text on the first line is still visible. I have tried using locate and other ways, but it still doesn't work. Please help!
Try adding a ; to the end of the print line, as such:
Code:
Print "my string"+somestr$;
Thanks for the help! Smile Smile Smile
No problem =)
Hi ysft12,

Kewl, I thought I was the only one using FB for DOS....welcome aboard :-)....I think that makes two of us :-)..

For the sake of knowledge, is there anyone else using FB for DOS? so we can unite lol.

There's a user on the Network54 "QBasic Forum" called "mennonite". He's a DOS advocate, so he probably uses the DOS version. In fact, he likes a lot of things that are old. . . HTML 3.0 (he hates how presentation has been separated from content with HTML 4.x and CSS), uses Task Manager under Windows 9x (I think Win98 to be precise) rather than Explorer for a Windows 3.1 environment (no clue where he got that from), <I shouldn't continue because he'll destroy me in the chatroom on that site.>
Wow! I thought that you all thought that freeBasic for dos was useless!
Hell no, :-)....would be great if it could PCOPY like QB and family does in text mode like in graphics mode...that would save alot of headaches...:-)

We do, but don't tell anyone. We're trying to become like.. a cult.. working in silent, behind the scenes, influensing decisions to be made everywhere..
